OLD SCHOOL BUT COOL - SRL

Last week was our first time to use Single-Lens reflex Camera also known as SLR. We were suppose to have the first photo shoot exercise in Agora but unfortunately we have a problem with the permit thing for some reason so we have to stay inside campus, nothing much to shoot. Personally, I thought the only difference with SLR from DSLR is just the the film and the digital LCD monitor thing but it's not. Well it is pretty understandable because I'm not a camera savvy. The camera needs to be taken seriously, SLR is kind of hard when you’re used to take photos with Digital Cameras or  DSLR but it’s not far-fetch to think that we can master it like pros, if you have all the time in the world LOL. Seriously, it was hard to take the very first shot because we were allotted approximately 9 shots each in a group and was so afraid to waste the film. So we really have to be very careful not to under or over exposed each precious shots. Around 11am while we were in soccer field looking for subjects a Military Huey Chopper passed. After several minutes the chopper rerouted and was approaching very fast. I grab the camera and adjusted the shutter speed and the aperture and really wanted to capture it. CLICK! In your dreams Joe. I was hesitant and the chopper was too fast for me, I missed it. The photo could have been taken like this If I was using the DSLR ( photo taken www.wingweb.co.uk). Now it is starting to make sense why professionals who were using the old school camera earned a lot of respect from the modern photographers. Now I can imagine how cool is it to be a world renowned photographer using the old school cam.
